Help
Everything you need to run a presentation with Presentation Timer -- tap a topic to expand it.
Getting started
On the Home screen you can either run a Quick Timer straight away -- set the hours, minutes and seconds with the steppers and tap START -- or pick a saved timer from My Timers.
Saved timers come in two types:
- Basic -- a single countdown session.
- Multi-Session -- an ordered list of sessions and breaks that play one after another.
Create a new one from My Timers with the + button in the bottom-right corner.
Editing a timer
Open a saved timer's editor by tapping the pencil icon on its card. Set the duration with the hour/minute/second steppers, and tap the title to rename it.
The colored bar under the duration is your on-stage pacing guide -- each color is a share of the session's time:
- Drag the boundary between two colors to redistribute time between them.
- Tap a color segment to select it, then use the palette icon to recolor it, the + icon to split it into two, or the trash icon to remove it.
Recoloring intervals requires a Pro or All Access plan -- Free timers use the default color order.
Presenting
Tap START to go fullscreen. Tap the screen to pause or resume at any time.
When a session's time runs out, the screen flashes gently and waits for you to tap Next session rather than jumping straight to the next one -- so you're never rushed mid-sentence. The same happens at the very end of a presentation, counting up how far over you've gone.
Switch to the overview list to see every session at a glance and jump straight to any of them -- handy as a remote/cue-sheet view. Rotate your device for a landscape layout.
If you back out mid-presentation, you'll be asked to confirm before it ends.
Sharing a timer
From My Timers, long-press any timer card and choose Share. This sends a link that opens Presentation Timer directly on the recipient's device to an import screen, where they can review it and choose to add it to their own My Timers or discard it.
Casting to a room
Casting is available on the All Access plan. From Home's start options, choose Cast to device to create a room.
Anyone with the room's code, link, or QR code can open it in a browser and watch the countdown live -- useful as a confidence monitor, a second screen, or for remote viewers following along.
Closing the room from the app ends it for everyone; simply leaving the app doesn't. An idle room closes automatically after 6 hours of inactivity.
Settings
Open Settings from the menu to adjust:
- Show clock -- the current time on screen while presenting.
- Hide time remaining -- don't show the countdown at all.
- Hide seconds -- round the countdown to whole minutes, showing real seconds only in the final minute.
- Show elapsed session time -- a secondary line showing time elapsed instead of remaining.
- Always on screen -- keep the display awake while presenting.
- Alarms -- play a sound at session end and/or presentation end, and choose the alarm sound.
- Vibration -- on finish, between sessions, and on color change.
Plans
- Free -- up to 3 saved timers, default interval colors, no casting.
- Pro -- unlimited saved timers and full interval color editing, no casting.
- All Access -- everything in Pro, plus casting to a room.
Manage or change your plan any time from the menu -- Go Premium if you're on Free, or Manage Subscription once you've subscribed.
Troubleshooting & contact
A room won't connect -- check that both the presenting device and the viewer have an internet connection, and that the room hasn't closed after 6 hours of inactivity.
A purchase isn't showing up -- open Manage Subscription from the menu; it re-checks your Play Store account automatically. Make sure you're signed in with the same Google account used to purchase.
